Melissa Mings, BFA

Even before she completed her Bachelors, Melissa had taken a profound interest in the arts. Whether it was drawing, illustration, graphic design, fashion or photography. This interest in, and appreciation for art has drove her to be a multi-talented artist and designer. While most designers specialize in one key area, she has refined her skills in illustration and logo creation. And with that skillset, she has added layout design and concept creation to that mix. But not satisfied with just those assets, she has incorporated product photography. The greatest quality comes with the fact that while most designers stop at designing the artwork, she goes to the final step: printing the final product.

Perseverance, dedication, commitment, outstanding, creative; this is the short list that describes Melissa. She is a professional in every facet of her job, whether it’s going the extra mile to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget and to the highest of standards. Or her ability to explain her procedures to clients who might have no idea about the processes. She will be sure to clarify the various steps and eagerly await, and answer any questions that may arise. Not only are these mannerisms that she uses while on the job, but in her personal life as well. While outwardly quiet, she is very well spoken, articulate and well mannered.

With regards to her work, she can be quite meticulous: plan, brainstorm, communicate, process, implement. And while there is no conventional style to her work, it is based on contemporary art; culturally diverse, and technologically influenced.

During her leisure time, she can be found listening to various music genres and artistes, watching makeup tutorials and improving on her makeup skills, or learning new skills such as social media management.
